What's in a name?

When Brandon and I found out we were having a girl, there was no question what her name was going to be.  Since it took us a while to get pregnant, we had time to talk and think about names.  One thing that was important to me was giving her a middle name that was special to our family.  The first person that came to my mind was my Mamaw, Sarah.  There is no one I would rather name my child after than her.  My middle name is also Sarah, so the tradition could continue.  There is no one on this earth I would rather have our daughter be like than my grandmother.  She is hands down the most wonderful, amazing woman on the planet.  If Kearington turns out even half as wonderful as my grandmother, than she will be one wonderful kid!  When I think of my grandmother, these are just a few things that come to mind:

G – Godly.  My Mamaw is the most Godly woman I know.  Everything she says and does is in the name of her Savior, Jesus Christ.  There is no better example of how a Christian woman should be than her.
R – Ridiculously beautiful.  I think she is one of the most beautiful people I know, inside and out.  My mother obviously gets her beauty from her too!
A – Amazing.  The giving heart that she has for others is amazing.  There is never a moment where she puts herself before others.  She is always in the kitchen cooking meals and baking to give to other people.
N – Near.  Even though we leave a couple of hours away from each other, she is always and will always be near to my heart.
D – Daughter (an example to my).  She is the best example to my daughter of how a person should live there life.  Her love and compassion for others is amazing, and I hope my daughter has a heart just like hers.
M – Mother.  She is one of the best examples of how a mother should be.  She is also the mother to one of my favorite people in the world and my best friend, my mom.
O – Optimistic.  She always has such a wonderful outlook on life.  Mamaw is always positive and never has anything mean to say about anyone.
T – Teacher.  Some of my favorite memories as a child is being the kitchen learning how to bake from her.  She has always taught be to always be kind to others and treat them the way I wanted to be treated.
H – Happy.  My Mamaw is always happy.  She lives her life to the fullest and shares her happiness and joy with all of those around her.
E – Eternal.  She never questions where she will spend eternity.  Mamaw’s heart is so full of Christ that she knows where she will spend life after death.
R – Respected.  There isn’t one person that I know that knows my grandmother that doesn’t speak highly of her.  Everyone loves and respects her.

One of the best moments so far - meeting each other for the first time :)
